Do you offer day-of coordination?
No, day-of coordination is not one of our product offerings. Instead, Weddings Unveiled is meant to act as a supplement alongside your day-of coordinator.
If you're not hiring a full-scale wedding planner, you usually only have one or two meetings with your day-of coordinator before the wedding day. Field Guide for the DIY Bride will coach you every step of the way before that, and we also offer consulting hours if you'd like extra help. That's why our prices are so low, so it doesn't replace your entire coordinator budget.
If I use Weddings Unveiled's services, do I still need to hire a day-of coordinator?
Yes, you will still need to hire someone to coordinate the wedding day-of. While you could ask an organized friend to fill that role, it's recommended to have someone with experience in event execution to ensure they are equipped to be the primary point of contact.
Weddings Unveiled focuses primarily on the planning process, not day-of execution. However, we include in-depth information to help you craft a day-of timeline so that your coordinator will easily be able to understand what you need them to do.
Who is the ideal client for this service?
This service is targeted for brides who are looking to plan most of their wedding themselves. It is not a white glove wedding planning service, nor is it day-of coordination. You will still need to hire or appoint someone to act as coordinator on your wedding day, but this program is intended to give you the tools you need to save the cost of hiring a full-scale wedding planner.
My goal with Weddings Unveiled is to condense all the online wedding noise into one place. Rather than spending hours on Pinterest or Youtube, Weddings Unveiled is a one-stop shop to learn about everything you need to know when it comes to planning the biggest party of your life.
What do your consulting hours include?
During consulting hours we will check on your progress, address questions or current obstacles, and ensure you are on track to complete your planning goals on time. We can also use this time to brainstorm style/decor, work on the day-of timeline, and talk through any concerns you have about day-of logistics.
How many consulting hours do I need?
For engagements that are 6 months or longer, we recommend quarterly or monthly meetings at the most.
For short engagements, we can meet as often as bi-weekly (every 2 weeks).
At the very least, we recommend 2 important calls: One within the first month or two of your engagement to define your planning to do list over the rest of the months between now and your wedding, to make sure you stay on track and don't get overwhelmed along the way.
The second call will be to build your day-of timeline. We will start with your ceremony time, and build the entire wedding day agenda. There are a lot of puzzle pieces, so it's important to get it right!
We can also use that hour to work on your ceremony and rehearsal agenda, or anything else you'd like to talk about!
Why is your pricing so low?
Weddings Unveiled is meant to help fill in a gap I see in the wedding planning industry. While some brides are able to spring for a full-service professional planner, I recognize that may be out of your budget. My mission is to offer an alternative - a tool to help you plan your own wedding without having to completely start from scratch.
I also see Weddings Unveiled as a ministry. As a believer in Jesus Christ, my goal is to glorify Him with the gifts I have been given.
"Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." - Proverbs 16:3
